Thunder hit wheels but not decoy

Hi,
I built a rover with a lot of decoys, but the thunder keeps hitting everything but not the decoys. Especially the wheels which are always destroyed during a storm on pertam.
If I get out of the rover on foot, I get killed in less than 10 seconds.
1. First, a vehicle with wheels shouldn't be hit by thunder.
2. Why does decoys doesn't help ?
3. Why thunder always hit players so fast every time?
By the way I am playing this game since alpha, I love the way it is now, but things like thunder need a bit of rework to my mind. Great feature but maybe it should be nerfed.
