You know what I'd love?
Tracks blocks.
Monorail-type things that constrain a subgrid slider to it and offers power, much like a rotor head, and permit it to move freely. Propulsion is left to the player to devise; thrusters, wheels, pistons, or a big ol' cartoonish mallet.
Imagine the creative projects; reloading systems, monorails, grid sorting, docking, escape pods.
I'm asking for the moon, aren't I?
But it would be very cool.
