Option Control to Reduce Grinder Relative Volume

The only sounds in this game that is just "too much" is the grinder. Maybe I'm not alone (well I KNOW my wife hates it too! ;) but maybe other users as well!?) in finding that the grinder sound is too loud relative to the rest of the sounds in the game. If I adjust the sound so the grinder is not too intrusive, everything is too quiet. If I adjust the sound so that most background sounds are about right, the grinder is too loud.
Probably quite a bit of effort for a single implementation, but to me (and my wife!) it would make a lot of difference to the user experience with the game.
