Radiation damage

Getting a small periodic damage from uranium deposits provided that the character is close and eliminate damage if it is in a cryocamera or aboard a ship.

+ Add radiation damage to all characters in the radius after a bomb explosion for a certain time.

+ Add radiation damage to all characters in the circle of damaged reactors.


And there are means to protect against radiation.

I think the Warhead is build with Mg, not U.

Engineering is the application of science and math to solve problems. As of right now there are very little problems to solve in the game. Environmental risks and other factor such as acidic invironments give a very much needed game play elements to SE. As it is right now sure it's amusing to build a contraption only to have it blow apart due to poor physics, but that will die soon enough as it did before the multiplayer update. There is very little substance to the game and it is alarming to see this idea dismissed with what looks to be very little consideration.

yes i agree with Rene theres far too few problems to solve having to build a ship specificly desighned with the purpose of going and mining uranium would be cool also making sure your ship could withstand higher levels of radiation, right now the only environmental problem we face is through meteorites and gravity which can be fixed through turrets, more thrusters and parachutes all of which require very little skill or thinking haveing weather, radiation, water, and natural desasters would add a new level to the game forcing people to think there way out of situations rather than just build big ships constantly.

I think radiation damage/effects it is an important thing for a space engineer. So I think it would be important to keep it maybe for SE 2.

I would like to see reactors have the potential to explode when heavily damaged. Could be % chance rather then a guaranteed thing. Maybe every 30 seconds, the game could roll a dice with low odds and if it does happen to strike the right number have it explode with similar damage to that of a warhead.

hey if you really want radiation damage play miner wars they have solar flares :P
