Trading and contract UI broken on 32:9 aspect ratios

Hello Keen staff,

I just posted a bug report on your forum, however, Im afraid that, due to the voting system, it may be come unnoticed.

But since it makes some parts of the game unplayable for me on a technical level, Im opening this support ticket.

(The problem only affects the following menus, no other parts of the games have this problem)

The issue is as follows: On any 32:9 resolutiuon setting, which is esentialy dual 16:9, the trading menus become completely unusable and cluttered together.

This happens both on 5120x1440 and 3840x1080. I even tested a couple other monitors to check if this is monitor specific. It isnt.

As you can see in the attached files, it renders the UI of those trading and contract stations unusable to me. I would like to play this game in survival again, but this makes that mostly impossible.

Would it be possible to implement some kind of hotfix or update to this soon? This has been an issue ever since the economy update.

If possible, I would like to assist with testing or providing further information.

Greetings

Hello Keen,

Id like to re-open this as this issue is still relevant. It was never adressed or fixed. Nothing has been done to this and, as a result, the game is LITERALLY not interactable / playable on a 32:9 display.

Meaning that the next content drop, the PVE update, will NOT be interactable or playable in the slightest.

This used to work for a short amount until you removed menu scaling shortly after the first introduction. Why is it still not fixed?

I was promised a fix 2 years ago via email.

Again, Id like to offer any kind of help from my side if you need anyone to help you fix this issue.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Keen Software House.

We are aware of this problem.

You can follow threads about this e.g.:

Please practice patience while waiting for a fix for this problem.

Sadly, as you can see, we already have "Reported" threads about this, so there is no point in having another thread about the exactly same problem (which would be closed as Duplicate anyway).

Please follow the shared threads for any new information, comments and possible fix coming,

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Keen,

I sadly do not find this response to be acceptable. I have been patiently waiting for 2 entire full years for you to fix this.

Just enable the same menu scaling for the economy menus as you did for every other menu in the game.

Again, Im a very patient person, but it has been 2 years. 24 months. I don't feel like the money I spent on every single DLC was well spent here as I was not able to play in survival mode properly for 2 years due to this.

I don't understand why every menu in the game works fine, except for these.

Greetings.

Hello keen,

I'm another player, since the first version, on Steam! I just bought a new 49” 5120x1440 screen and... This problem has not yet been solved as of October 21, 2024... The Contact update is great, but please... We absolutely need you to fix the UI on 5120x1440 resolution please, the game is good but the interface bugs on 5120x1440 and it makes it unplayable on the faction creation UI, in the contarts UI & in the station stores... !

Ho.. Damn Waldherz i'm so sorry.. ^^'

I did a google search about this problem because I'm a victim of it (the UI bugs) and one of the links led me here, it was after I posted this comment under yours in thinking about "up a topic" that I realized that he had taken your login and that it was a Private Ticket (I have no account on this forum.. I am a Steam player), I don't know how that happened and how is possible, but it's clearly an error in the referencing on Google and operation of this forum ^^'... However, don't worry, I don't have access to your account, it simple take your name when I post and I'm sorry for the scare! Look at the screenshot I attached to this comment..

Strange.. In the meantime the problem is still not resolved concerning the 5120x1440 bug on 1.205 contact update.. ..
