Inventory list needs better visuals and sorting

If you have lots of inventory blocks, the inventory scroll list becomes very long very quickly. Mostly because of how the scroll list is constructed. And it's hard finding the right place in the list with the inventories you are looking for.

Main concerns I have:

  • List becomes too long with too much empty unused space between inventories.
  • Blocks inventories don't seem to sort after alphabetical order or block type. It seems random.

I know invetories can be hidden manually from the list, or found by using the search bar, but it's not enough to make it feel good.

Add a "show this grid only" and "show all but this grid" checkboxes to the filters on both panels.

Or for the second one, add a dropdown of all attached grids for the grid you want to search within.

You can use the "Schow Block in Inventory Screen" option and the Checkbox "Hide Empty Containers".This in combination with a Sorting Script is perfectly fine.

However, sorting should be a Vanilla thing but thats a point for another Post.

It would be great if the GUI would make better use of the space. There could be so much more info on the screen, instead it looks like made for old pre-HD TV. (Read: Optimised for bloody console gaming.) There should be more modes for displaying inventory, similar to file explorers can show large and small thumbnails, lists, and details. Have a look at EVE Online and steal some of the good bits.

A PC is not a console. A console is not a PC. They have different design and operation paradigms. If you try to serve both, the result can only be mediocre.

There is 2 things that would really be great if added:

- Sorting, by Alphabetical and by amount

- Stack all, inside a single inventory(single block) would stack all the same item together.

Standard alphabetical sorting would be very nice!
