Insufficient power for survival kit

I built a minimal base with a wind turbine and a survival kit. All of a sudden my single wind turbine produced insufficient power for the survival kit, preventing me from building the required materials to produce a second one.

Not really a bug but this was extremely annoying as it completely halted my progression. After I finally gathered enough girders from drops, I was able to complete the second turbine.

Later, however, even 4 turbines weren't enough to power a basic assembler.

TLDR: Wind turbine output definitely requires some tweaking and an indicator of the total vs max output like on solar panels would be a nice bonus.

Did you built your turbine on ground level and other blocks near it ?

From my test, that significaly lower the output of a windmill. It seems that they work better at 7 or 8 block high with 3 blocks of empty space around to develop their max output.

Yeah they were placed about 4 or 5 blocks up with plenty of free space around, but even then they only produced just under 200 each.

I should probably have mentioned that I started on Mars. I still think the output is a tad too low.

It took me 6 turbines to power a basic assembler on one of the icecaps of mars.
