Suggestion: Gas Giants

Not gas giants as in planet-planets. Gas giants as in literal giant balls of gas. A low-voxel-size planet could be used as a core, surrounded by an unbreathable atmosphere a few hundred km thick, and a very high gravity level. Inside the atmosphere, particle effects similar to those of weather could be used for player visibility, until they hit a depth where their hulls start taking heavy damage. In addition, via use of vents and tanks, hydrogen fuel could be pulled from their atmospheres in near-infinite amounts--provided you can survive the intense gravity.
