Slow Mode for Jetpack

I wish that jetpack had a "slow" mode and a "fast" mode. Cannot count the number of times I've inadvertently killed myself by accelerating to 100m/s in like 3 meters of traverse . . .

Same here, since they changed the jetpack speed there is now something in singleplayer that actually kills me continuously... myself because of jetpack.

Acceleration with the jet pack is nuts. Way too easy to kill yourself with current settings.

Why not steal from KSP: Caps Lock enabled slowly ramps up the thrust while the direction key is held, both for jetpack EVA and for vehicle RCS.

Yea, jetpack seriously needs this. Flying around small constructions and having the lightest, fastest key tap possible resulting in 5x the movement I want is extremely tedious

same for ship some times you want a more control and precise movement
Mabe and option to hold Ctrl- button (or other button) and and use WSAD at sime time for small movement
