Additional Block Suggestions

Would be great if we could get these missing blocks in a future patch:

And this is less missing blocks and more of quality of life combo blocks for survival:

On the conveyor/vent combo it would work if you just made the vent a full size air tight block

This would get complicated very fast. Better to just have an auto-fill feature for gaps. Block cost would be based on volume. Having to sort through all those block types would be a headache.

Or 'compound' blocks. That will work very well for pathways, lights, sensors, screens e t c. But probably isn't going to get implemented.

compound block is a very old idea. My big gripe is the following paradox present in SE.

The game gets slower and infinitely more complex as we build larger, so being able to build small and efficient, even in our large ships, should be encouraged. The solution becomes, allow us the tools to build more compact ship designs or improve performance when building larger builds to accomodate each light, ladder and catwalk needing it's own 1x1 large grid.

Not counting the combo blocks (which are pie in the sky) I'm asking for 7 blocks to fill gaps made by existing vanilla blocks. A few of them could have more than one possible configuration, so let's say 10 blocks total. I don't really see how this mucks up the menu so bad, especially considering everyone's answer to everything is to download a mod and some of these mods add 10-20 blocks.

I don't know how a "auto filler" would work.

Draw a line from vertex to vertex.

We don't only use blocks to fill gaps, these addtional shapes would be useful for detailing and other design aspects as well. A core component of the game play is design and aesthetics. Having an "auto-filler" might be great for certain situations but would also stymie creativity to use these new blocks in ways outside of the obvious.

I wholeheartedly support the idea of adding missing armor corner variants to the vanilla game! Its not that much of a headache to select the correct block with the mouse scrollwheel on PC, although that could get slightly tedious on xbox.
