Beacon default range of 5km - lower it for PVP purposes

Hey there,

please lower the default range of the beacon to something like 250/500 Meters.

Case :

If you play on a public server and there might be enemy around...

you build a new ship with a beacon on it and forgot / dont know that you need to set it lower before finishing you might leak your position.

This is bad and shouldn't be, just make it easier for people, if they need more range they always can set it.

If I am not mistaken this use to be way larger default radius.

Solution, don't weld before changing the radius, this allwork fine as it is.

Question is, why does it have to be this particular default value in the first place? Is it a deliberate quirk so as to keep players on their toes, or is it, as with so many other designs in and around SE, that the responsible product management regards that feature's current, one could say, MVP-like, implementation as sufficient to permit divesting dev resources elsewhere, thereby fostering an outward appearance that looks awfully, deceivingly similar to having stopped caring?

This Issue still exists and can lead with the spawning system to enemies finding you very quickly if you don't realize it's set to 5km.

Fix : Lower the default Range to 500

To my knowledge, the vanilla spawn system currently ignores beacons entirely.

For my understanding it just spawns near random players.

the problem with beacons is just that if you have set up one at this time and have not configured it yet, the enemy can find you very quick...
