Symmetry Mode in Survival
As the title states, I'm suggesting Symmetry Mode in Survival. I tried searching for other similar topics before I posted but couldn't find any, so I'm making my idea suggestion now.
My idea for Symmetry Mode in Survival is, you have to craft a 'drone' that is essentially an item you keep in your inventory that allows you to you use Symmetry Mode while in survival.Now obviously, since it's Survival Mode, the blocks won't be placed already built like they are in Creative Mode, but instead would just be the base of block as if you placed it normally in Survival. You would also need to have the materials available in your inventory for it to work.
The reason why I called it a 'drone' is, the idea is that you are building a mini 'drone' that will place the other symmetrical blocks for you. However, there wouldn't be an actual flying drone, that would just be the basis of the item. It would be just like the Oxygen and Hydrogen bottles you keep in your inventory that refills your suit even though you don't actually need to hold the item and manually refill your suit, it just does it automatically. So this 'drone' would be the same thing. As long as you have it in your inventory, and you have supplies for the blocks, you can use Symmetry Mode in Survival.

I like idea of being able to use symetry, but part with drone is horrible. Maybe something else, symetry mode for projector. For complex huge builds it shouldn't be problem to place such block and support it with power. A mirroring mode, checkbox for each axis and perhaps sliders for offsetting, voila. Of course you would have to place and weld block by yourself but building with such symetry projection would be easier than it currently is.

Well again, the point of the 'drone' is just the theme to explain why in survival mode you would be able to place a symmetrical block on your grid. But the projector could be a cool way, too. And yes Taylor I agree i really want it as well, it seems pretty simple to implement as well.

I don't know about the drone concept, but symmetry in survival would be awesome. When placing an armor block, for example, it *could* check if you have 2 steel plates and place a mirrored block. However, placing a piston or rotor already magically causes another steel plate to appear, so this isn't really necessary. Placing down an unwelded block with symmetry mode is wonderful for ship building/design in survival to make sure you get everything to match without flying around the ship 4 times for each block you place.
Symmetry in survival is not "realistic", but neither is an engineer that can carry 1200 liters and massive amounts of mass while running faster than Usain Bolt for an unlimited amount of time. I will definitely sacrifice realism to make complex builds a little easier.
