Mixed of Keyboard and Xbox One Controller (suggestion)

When i bought the game, Space Engineers, I was very awkward with keyboard and mouse at first, until one of my buddies suggests to use an controller. I went ahead and used xbox one controller, and immediately got used of using a combo of keyboard and controller. (Keyboard for items and weapons to click like 1, 2, 3 and so on, while i'm using controller for main things in action or whatever)

Now, this is before the xbox one controller/settings update arrived, i genuinely enjoyed this peculiar combo because then i find it cool that you can use LT/RT shoulder buttons to control the drills on each side of your mining ship, RT for digging for minerals, LT for actual tunneling out. Same with LB/RB for tilting to left or right while in space. it take few weird minutes to get used of this process.

But now, i recently came back to the game again, and saw it has been getting some few updates, and i noticed it have xbox one controller settings which was surprising for me, and i hopped on and gave it a try. Well it felt so OFF to me, to the point i'm not even sure if some of those buttons can fixed or toggled to change so i can use those for certain actions i'm used to.

Would be neat if this combo would be an thing for a mode to toggle on. If not, please ignore this.
