Large Grid only.

There would be at least some use for Stone/Gravel.

I personally think there might be even two versions ...

1) bunker-grade concrete - even harder to destroy than Heavy Armor, but useful practically only on stations due to weight and ease of maintenance (for example only partially salvageable).

2) prefab concrete - your average material for buildings.

Hello, Engineers!

This feature will not be added to Space Engineers, but it might appear in one of our future games or as DLC.

Cheers!

Why? :C

So it can be sold as DLC... obviously.

I struggle to recommend Squad's 'Making History' DLC In part because people can just mod parts in (space plane parts yet!). I also refrained from using the DLC parts when making workshop content due to compatibility reasons.

Empyrion has concrete. Also, would be useful as landing pads that are resistant to thruster damage.

im ok with DLC this is by far my favorite game, yes i know DLC is a crummy buisness practice but ion the case of space engineers, well its no COD not nearly as popular so they seem like they might actually need it.

Really Keen? That's a pretty average response for something so obvious that would add a whole lot to early game.

Dlc makes sense except for when it is already modded and almost all the work has already been done by the community and just needs an add. Unless you plan on incorporating the break physics of ME into the concrete in SE in which i case, i would probably go for it.

I agree. Basic concrete blocks is a great idea. It could have a very high weight, low damage resistance, and be impervious to thrust damage. All you need is stone and maybe a little bit of something else cheap that would make sense. It would be awesome for foundation, landing pads, even whole ground bases. I would think something as simple as concrete would be the first choice for a space engineer over metal if given the choice when it comes to simple construction. I'm a little miffed about how little explanation there is for some of the declined ideas. This one isn't like some of the others. It makes perfect sense for a vanilla block and fits well with the premise. Most of the (little) work is already done. Should be pretty easy and stable to implement. The damage model of stone block destruction already exists in ME, and you wouldn't need to simulate debris with collision.

i think they mean a tool that allows you to place down voxels in survival, i can see the apeal, have some random hole that needs filling... use concrete.

in this case, remove the gravel from the game

Concrete is a feature I would love to see in the game, or at least a way to edit voxel in survival, but I get the game is not made to support solid body breaking physics like in ME. Please implement it in SE 2, it would be super cool!

Pessoas ...
