Offline Play is broken.

I played for hours. after having spent money on your... DLC..

Now I try load a save offline and my saves are gone?! Then I find out you have separated my saves into what looks like Offline/Online saves. Not only that but the way mods are gathered now is to cram them all into one steam folder so I have to go fishing forever to find one mod.

They are with blueprints?! Do you have any idea how many blueprints some of us have?

Back to the savegame thing. I copied my save from the "Online" folder to the offline one and it loaded. But now I find out that the "DLC" I spent money on is online only. You STOLE from me. STOLE. Either give me my money back or make this available offline.

skins disapeared from a blueprint I made. AND You cannot use skins on your character offline..

All my saves end up corrupted.

Bug on this website btw - Can't edit comment's.

I don't have alot of money. Food is an issue for me and I still bought your DLC. I feel like you have stolen from me. I Bought the decorations and the skins and I was close to buying the aviator skin. I was inteding on doing it to support Keen and now I feel utterly betrayed.

I have been supporting you lot for years now. encouraging people to buy this game and now I'm starting to hate you. I am getting a new drive and that is to make sure no one I speak too ever wastes money on this game.

This isn't really a bug so much as it is a limitation of the steam inventory system. I'm sorry if your saves have been damaged but your skins are always available provided that you are online on steam. The game simply can't verify that you actually own them.

This is to protect the game from DLC piracy. You can start a save game as online but set it to private and you can use your skins.

If this option isn't available to you then you must enable "Experimental Mode" in the game settings.

I've seen many people frustrated with this but it should work fine if you are online on steam and you set your game to online but private so nobody can join, there is basically no difference in your game experience except you can use all your DLC.

It's piracy protection from Steam. They can't verify that you have the DLCs while you're offline.

They shouldn't need to verify it every minute of every day. Especially when Steam itself can't be bothered to keep working constantly.

Just put a record of it in some Valve database upon purchase and there you go. That's what records are for.

Yeah, anti pirate.. Meanwhile your punishing everyone who is supporting you. It DOESN'T work..

I have payed for every single DLC including the other game that I played once for an hour then never again to support your company. Even while being kicked in the nuts, id rather just punch myself in the nuts rather then buy anymore crap. (I like the DLC.. I'm just pissed.)

Anti piracy is ineffective. Do you want me to explain how you can get around this by modifying game files? It's extremely easy. Skin's are a little harder, but, steam emu's exist did you know?

Piracy spreads your game to a wider audience. It in no way effects your bottom line. This is demonstrable.

EDIT: Btw, who the hell gives one iota of a sh*t about steam inventory, seriously? Who the hell is collecting trading cards or whatever.. Who cares. And even those that do wont miss it if its gone, so long as they have the game and all its features.

EVERY single game in my steam library can handle DLC and skins etc without being online... I don't buy the excuses. Especially since it worked fine before skins.

And considerings all you need do is modify one line of code to enable a DLC item offline I REALY don't buy the anti piracy thing either.

A simple encrypted file that SE can read would solve this in a second.. Tell your boss he is an idiot.
