Hand tool / Block to detect damaged blocks on a grid

It could be a nice thing to have a hand tool or a block that help us to find any block on a grid who is damaged. Like the car dashboard who tell us that there is a problem here and there, whe could have a tool or a block to diagnose a ship and alert us of any potential problem when it detect a damaged block. Going through a 5000 block ship block by block to find if there is any damaged block is not very fun.

You can use welding tool and look through all blocks :)

To see what is damaged on LCD, it is possible to set it up using programming blocks.

Some servers doesn't allow the use of Programmable Blocks for performance reasons

I see what you mean, game could have a scanner working in a way metal detectors work, but instead it detects damage.

How would you handle blocks that are entirely missing?

I think this is a good idea; On the missing blocks, maybe it can use a blueprint of the original to check it against ? Just damaged blocks would already be something

Missong blocks are managed by the projector. What I need is a way to finf damaged block whoes damages is not visible (eg: 1 plate missing to fully repair/build the block doesn't show differently than a fully build block)
