Painting and ownership

Accessing inventory is given to the owners of the grid, why isn't it for painting blocks?
Paint a grid should be denied if you don't own the grid, as it's annoying when a random guy paints your base or fighter all in pink and you have to paint everything again.
I think it should be a thing in creative too
