If water cleans radiation, it would be good to have a chemical shower in game to clean off radiation when working in space. This way you do not have to wait for your radiation levels to drop and maximizes building time.

Chemical showers can help remove external radiation contaminants from the suit, but it can't eliminate radiation that has already been absorbed internally.

According to CDC, you can take a shower with lots of soap to clean of radioactive particles from your body's skin but any inhaled particles or ingested particles are stuck. Decontamination yourself can lower your exposure to harmful radioactive material, but radiation itself is more of a energy. The radiation meds in the game are basically iodine pills that prevent your organs to be damaged by the radiation but extended exposure to radiation can't just be rinsed off by a chemical shower.

Your idea would make sense if the radiation system in SE was based on radioactive particles building up on your suit, but that's not how this version of radiation hazard works. The exposure is the amount of radiation you are receiving, when the meter is full, you have exceeded the safe radiation dosages and begin taking damage. The radiation meds ingame are designed to dampen the effects of the radiation, but sadly, or thankfully, depending how difficult you want the game to be, we don't have to deal with radioactive contamination.
