Adding weather detection to event controllers

Under Consideration

So with the new update coming out today adding food and new weather along with radiation, i was thinking it would be really cool to be able to use event controllers to detect incoming weather or to be able to have event controllers connected to a sensor to be able to detect reactor radiation in a ship.

Or have new block for that,

Weather station. With action trigger.

It be better as a seprate block since a sensor different in what it for. maybe a new enviromental sensor block would be better.

That would be really good, and it can be a specialized event controller. We already have a weather detection feature for screens, but it only shows the weather.

or to turn on a beacon (i personally find beacons more visible to lights in heavy storms)

Especially since weather really does matter a lot more now for something like broadcast controller announcements, closing gates/doors, etc.

This has Valid application since Apex. Happy to have it as EC add-on or as a Weather Station type block ( but for me it makes sense as an extra to EC )

Bumping this as it would be a necessity for controlling my big airtight hangar doors on my alien planet base. I love the mental image of welding up a watchtower or something when I see a faint green mist start to accumulate. Just then I hear the alarms start blaring and see the warning lights flashing as I realize that I only have 30 seconds to get back into the base before I am sealed out.

Would be pretty cool.
