Partially deconstructed catch blocks can provide infinite timber

If I drop a one-sided catch block, I can start to deconstruct it with a hammer. Once the middle plug disappears from the catch block, I get +1 timber in my inventory. I can then pick up the catch block, which restores it to normal, but leaves me the timber from deconstruction. I can then drop the newly restored catch block and repeat. It's not a great exploit for infinite timber, but it's there.
If I had to guess, I would say that partially deconstructed blocks should have the same tag as a damaged block, so that it can't be picked up.
I haven't had time to try this on anything else, although I'm thinking there might be more lucrative objects to attempt this exploit.
