Load times excessive

Since the graphics update, loading with mods is taking around 10 mins, whereas loading a new map without mods is taking about 4-5 times as long.
Also, the loading cog stops rotating between approx 25% and approx 45%, occasionally resulting in windows 10 declearing the application non-responsive
