bushes causing aiming problems

Since the .7 update, if bushes are nearby, I have a lot of trouble aiming at trees with the axe and just now I was unable to dig with the pickaxe because a bush was near by. The aiming used to work really great in this regard, but now it is much more difficult. I also have an issue where I point to a log, it shows the hand, my finger is holding down the F key, yet the log does not get picked up. So, aiming and activation in general seem to be hosed up.
