Loot backpacks disappear

I have noticed this when NPCs first arrived, sometimes when I've been looting NPC's backpacks they just disappeared while I was picking items from it before I could take all.
But yesterday I died, and when I tried to pick up my stuff from my own corpse's backpack the same thing happend, with the only difference that my backpack have a GPS marker on it.
My old backpack appeared in 4,3 kilometers away from me right after it vanished! So I guess, all NPC's backpacks also just getting teleported somewhere. My guess is that my character just steps on it or kicks it, which sends him flying away.
Please fix!
