Holographic projection planning for precision voxel excavation or filling in survival

The idea

Project a volume form into an area of voxel terrain by placing an alignment block, and a projector block to act as a datum point.

The volume form will need to identify zones of clearance and zones of fill.

Volume forms will need to have step adjustable dimensions.

The volume forms will have types that include standard rectangular block and curved 'track like corridor' block, possibly others too.

Once the projection is set two new block tools can be used to either excavate or fill voxel inside of the projected area with near smooth precision. No excavation or filling can take place outside of the projection.

Note: A material source will be needed for voxel filling.

The why.

1. Drilling can not make smooth roads, and drilling is limited for the possible voxel architectures of underground bases.

2. Grid uses a lot of PCU on larger builds and XXL blocks are as yet unavailable.

2. Grid is constrained by cubic form and the available types.

3. Voxel Bridges could be of a huge span.

4. Embankments could be added to terrain for the perfect build location.

5. Using a datum projection method would give a predictable result for multistage voxel changes.

6. In survival voxel material as yet can not be placed.

Normal drill blocks would be unaffected by the projection.

As for alignment blocks, been asking for a while now.
