Suggestion - Multiple Subgrid Grouping

The ability to group objects is a core part of space engineers but i feel like keen is missing an important improvement, namely the ability to group items from multiple subgrids together.

For example lets say you wanted to make a deployable custom weapon that could deploy out of the sides of the ship maybe on a fighter of some sort.

(custom turrets are not yet possible to my knowledge but static weapons would still work with this)

Currently there are only 2 ways to do this:

  1. Either you can put a full turret block on a piston/hinge/rotor (not a custom weapon)
  2. Or you can move the hull itself out of the way. (this is clunky)

You can of course make a group of weapons on a subgrid but you can only control 1 group at a time and it is somewhat painful to set up. If I for example wanted deployable Gatling guns on either side of a ship. The lack of an ability to group the weapons on BOTH subgrids means I can only shoot from 1 side at a time (less then helpful).

There are of course other uses for such a feature such as the ability to control multiple pistons on a crane or other contraption. (or any other mechanical block) after all no one wants to be forced to use 8 different toggles for a single action.

I'm sure there are all sorts of clever things we could do with the ability to group blocks from several subgrids and I feel like this could only be an improvement to the game.
