insufficient thrust warning on wheels is borked?

Okay, bear with me for a moment. I'm driving my giant rover (Think Grover) and I constantly get the 'not enough thrust' warning, when it's my wheels doing the 'thrust'. What I've noticed is that I get the warning when one of the wheels leaves the ground due to terrain unevenness. This is basically 90% of rover driving in the game, since the terrain is so uneven and the suspensions don't travel at all. At almost every moment, one or more wheels are off the ground, so that warning is basically noise to be turned off (i.e. should this even be tied to wheels?)
I ask that because the rover does have atmos thrusters, but I get that warning even when they're off, so...<shrug>
