ice in the viridian halo

I decided to build my base in the asteroid belt (viridian halo) so i would have easy access to materials and ice. To fuel the aquila. I checked a dozen asteroids for ice, until I ran out of fuel, built an ion thruster miner and check another 20, still no ice. Using a fresh (100%) battery I checked a further 50+ asteroids before I ran low. still no ice. Can only conclude that there is no ice in the halo. if this is the intent it is not well communicated.
I have the same bug
It's not much Ice in Viridian halo, but it's there, view from Valation station:
I found this asteroid and it was enough Ice to live in that area all the time till moving next region. So they are really more rare than in other parts of space, but exist and enough.
This area is located above the start hangar, just go up from first station on planet.
PS: I found 2 asterois with Ice, small and big, with only one 5 M Hydrogen tank of fuel spent on that.
