Turrets shoot through cover

Attempting to do any of the combat-based missions is extraordinarily difficult since the asteroids seemingly no longer offer cover. Ship turrets (or the renegade base turret) will just shoot straight though the asteroid. It appears that line-of-sight is no longer being occluded.
I have the same bug Access denied
