Able to phase a ship through another ship when trying to park

When I was trying to park my mining ship onto my larger ship, it would move my mining ship towards the connecter and pass it completely. Then I noticed that my landing gear showed that they were parked despite not being connected to anything. I ended up being able to phase through my larger ship with the mining ship. Sadly, the video I attached doesn't have what led up to it, but what I was able to do afterwards. Leaving the world and rejoining didn't fix it. However, closing and reopening the game did.
