Mouse and game locked up

I lost complete control of my game, including selecting toolbars using the control keys.

I ATL/TABed and have mouse control in other apps.

I noticed there aren't any tools on my toolbar in SE2.

I loaded a couple of earlier autosaves in SE2 to no avail.

I'm sitting in the barn looking at my truck right now.

I'll try a complete shutdown and restart, crossing my fingers.

Escape key takes me to the SE2 menu.
