Make grids built from contracts spawn as stations later in the economy.
Hi Keen,
Me and another person have an awesome idea that fits well with your game design at the moment.
The basics is adding a permanent purpose to the Grids that you build for the Colony expansion stages in each sector and not just building to get access to a block. Basically each grid built gets saved as a blueprint, and later gets spawned once the colony stage advances. This will add to the economy playing as you will see more "Life" around the system plus the player gets to choose the style of the buildings used and seen later. Could even have a contract to design a small cargo ship that later can be seen flying around.
Then later on there could be repetitive/time randomized contracts to deliver ores/cargo/parts to these outposts. Re-visiting a station/outpost you designed and seeing it populated by NPCs later would be awesome. So this would mean that some outpost contracts might need more PCU allowance to make suitable for NPC pathfinding.
