Immediate crash (within 2 seconds) when loading a new world - D3D12 Device Removed (RX 9070 XT)
Hello Keen Support Team,
I am experiencing an acute, immediate crash when trying to load or create a new unmodded world. The game has been working flawlessly for over 240 hours of playtime, including this morning. However, it now suddenly crashes within 2 seconds of clicking "New World" during the initial loading phase.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
- Performed a completely clean reinstall of the game (including manually deleting the AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineers2 folders).
- Verified the integrity of the game files via Steam.
- Cleared the Windows DirectX shader cache and manually wiped the AMD DXCache folder.
- Set a manual profile in AMD Adrenalin, capped the frame rate to 60 FPS using Radeon Chill, and disabled all overlays/fluid motion frames.
My log file shows that the crash is a native engine/graphics exception. The rendering log explicitly points to a DirectX 12 TDR issue right before the crash handler forces the process to terminate:
== D3D12 Device Removed Extended Data 1 ==
My Hardware Specs:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (RDNA 4)
- OS: Windows 11 (all drivers and .NET frameworks up to date)
I have attached my full SpaceEngineers2.log and the latest .dmp file from my MiniDumps folder to this ticket. Any assistance or hotfix regarding this RDNA 4 / DX12 allocation issue would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your help.
I have the same bug
