Restarting the game causes contract progress to reset

Need More Information

I had a bit of a panic as I had spent the past 6hrs gathering Magnesium and Chromium for a contract. My game started to stutter so I saved and restarted the game. On join the contract progress had reset. I rushed to the delivery station and thankfully the resources were still sitting in the storage and I just needed to transfer them in/out of the delivery storage.

I have my save stored on the workshop, I assume that may have attributed to the reset in someway.

Hello BigglesVII,

Could you please clarify what do you mean that your Save is stored in the Workshop? Do you upload the Save there instead of regular saving in Game and start a New Game from the published World everytime?

If you do then yes, it does reset because it works exactly as starting a New Game (Survival, Creative etc) so some parts are generated again - for example the World Seed, so everytime you start, Trees and Boulders will be generated again and Contracts logic will update to the latest.

No I only did that once to get through one of the contracts I was stuck on. I mention it incase it has any bearing on the issue at hand. This happened just from a normal save. As the workshop save gets synced with the players save file I assumed it may recall that workshop file when the player loads the game again, but given your query I know that's not the case.
