Character rotating and sliding

Presumably it's related to the grid I'm building being attached to the landing gear piston setup in the barn, it's locked as shown in the video but my character tilts over and starts sliding. From about 13 seconds in the video I don't touch the keyboard and just move the mouse.

Update, locking character dampeners to the grid also causes a drifting in the air.

Possibly because the block that was attached to the landing gear was rubbing of the catwalk around the edges?
