The Grind is discouraging

I finally get to Dustspire, on Kemik, and breeze through three contracts. To achieve progression, I must now build orbital relay station ( the contract offer mentions but I watched YouTube video of someone else doing this and so I know three will be required). I take the contract and fly up to orbit only to discover that I need sensor blocks, a detail I had forgotten from the video.

Thus two critical piece of information were missing from the contract offer. This is a good way to discourage players.

I restore a save from before I accepted relay contact.

Now I see that I need the Bulk Platinum and Titanium contract to unlock the sensor block. Again, I must accept the contract is see the details. It turns out 'Bulk' means 250 tons of one and 150 tons of the other.

This is what I deem 'discouraging grind'.

How big a ship do you expect me to have at this stage of the game? How do you expect me to find the necessary ore bodies? Do you expect me to backtrack to a different bulk ore contract to unlock the Large Ore Detector, that you have neglected to inform how of an improvement it is over the basic model?

My point is, flying around aimlessly hoping to find ore bodies is not engineering and it is not an aspect of the game that I enjoy. Thus I have been avoiding such contracts unless I already have a good idea of where to find the required ores. For Platinum and Titanium I have NO prior knowledge. I also do not yet have a ship capable on moving 500 tons of cargo in 1 trip. Nor can I automate round trips. I seem to be required to spend days or weeks doing loathed chores if I want to progress any further in this game.

While I am being grumpy, there was another point that stuck me a ridiculous. I did the contract to repair an 'Important Uranium Mining Facility'. Why could I not find even the slightest trace of Uranium at the site?

Finally, having wheels is good but having a reason to build a rover would be better, although the terrain on both Verdure and Kemik seems to discourage the use of rovers. I hope that this will change, along with less grinding ways to progress further.

Any suggestions, anyone?
