Spawning wheeled vehicle in space in large ship ignores gravity generators

Like the title says. I have a very large ship that use gravity generators to maintain gravity. Normal suit operations work fine; I am able to "stick" to the floor in space. However, when I spawn wheeled vehicles, either my own creations or workshop creations, the vehicle just free floats totally ignoring gravity. There does not seem to be a way of using wheeled vehicles in a space environment.

This is the same in SE1. TO get the wheeled vehicle to "stick" you need to add mass blocks (not in SE2 yet).

Hi Steve. Thanks for the reply, and not to sound argumentative, but IMO just because it was done that way in SE1 does not mean it is the correct way to do things. To require an artificial construct such as a "mass block" is not a solution, it is a band aid on a fundamental problem. Everything has mass. The player character has less mass than a rover, but behaves correctly in all environments. The rover should mimic this behavior, again IMO. Keen has an opportunity to fix previous issues and make the game better. I hope they do this...

I have observed essentially the same earlier during development, VS1.1 was the latest release back then. In missions with a station that used artificial gravity, debris would float. But as soon as I switched off the jet pack, my avatar would fall down. Obviously the game makes a difference between debris and players where they should behave the same.
