[Feedback] Friend or Foe system

Hi,

So I might be playing the game with a different strategy than other players where I prefer to take over the enemy ships rather than destroy them. However I've noticed the game seems to ... misunderstand what I'm doing.

The game correctly identifies that a ship has been disabled if I take out the reactor alone. At that point I do not have reactor unlocked and can not rebuild it, but I also can NOT build on the grid either.

* I would like a way to "claim" a ship I've acquired. I can drive it, but for some reason these ships seem to still be "enemy" ships, as I can use them to sneak up onto other enemy ships and they don't fire on it. If however I'm doing a mission where I need to build a gatling turret, the turret will immediately start firing at it once the build structure is assigned back to the the base. I did the next two missions to take out Renegade ships with the Renegade drop ship without any starboard engines because I can only repair stuff that hasn't been completely broken off the ship.

* Enemy ships appear to have unlimited resources for guns, fuel, and batteries, and thus driving it around doesn't consume fuel. Likewise NPC friendly ships like the bullfrog's from the first station also seem to have unlimited battery life.

* I can "clone" a ship with the blueprint system, but I don't have the necessary materials to do so, that's fine, though it seems a bit weird that I can just "take a photo" of a ship and copy it.

So ultimately the game needs a somewhat more sophisticated FoF system.

- FoF for doors as well. If you don't own the ship, then the door should not open, even if you turn the power on, or deconstruct 90% of it and then rebuild it. Right now the game simply has these doors as "turned off" and can be turned back on once you find a control panel like the battery. Perhaps an "airlock door" or "armored door" should be something that exists so that grinding it down in 2 seconds isn't so easy.

- FoF for the ship bridge/cockpit/control panels, the fact that I could just deconstruct the two doors and drive the ship away, even before I took out the reactor, is a little too easy. I feel that if you sit down at the cockpit of an enemy ship, the controls should just say "locked out" and you have to deconstruct it and reconstruct it to take over the ship

- FoF for ship name/registry. I "agree" that if I hijack an enemy ship, then other enemy ships should still see it as one of theirs, and sneaking up on them should work as it does now. However if I have taken over a ship, because I just want to use it, there should be a way to reassign it to yourself. Perhaps driving it to a base and "repainting" it.

* Ultimately turn off "unlimited" fuel/ammo/energy on the grid of "destroyed targets" once the quest completes. So far only the Renegade dropship is still fully useable after removing the reactor because it's hydrogen fueled, however it NEVER consumes any of the fuel, and it's batteries never go down. The ion-drive ships without their reactors are undriveable as the game still is looking for a power requirement. Ultimately I drove the ion drive ships without a reactor back to the base by driving it backwards. It shouldn't have been possible to do so if the power actually was consumed.

Likewise, the game seems to automatically turn unlimited fuel/ammo/energy on computer controlled bases, which I can understand for the "friendly bases" since they aren't designed to be balanced, but when it does it during a mission, it caught me by surprise when the gatling turret took out the renegade ship I used to get there. So again, I think there has to be a way to "claim" the ship so the game treats it as your ship without having to deconstruct the entire thing and rebuild it.

Image attached is 3 enemy ships I drove back to the Palatine base.
