Stuttering after not landing for a while

Not a Bug

I noticed that I had severe stuttering, but thought that would be textures loading, since I was flying a long way. It crashed a few times, bordering on unplayable. The stuttering would occur after 5-5 minutes of play again and again.

Considered stopping and starting a new game. But it went away after I landed on verdure.

I had been flying across verdure for about an hour or so, stopping mid air to loot bases at signals, using the jump pack to scoot on down and filll my pockets.

As said I considered starting a new game, when I landed my ship and the stuttering went away.

I am running a newly updated CachyOS on an old AMD 3600 and a Nvidia 3060 12Gb card. I hit 60 fps consistently with mostly no stuttering other than when loading in, what I would guess to be terrain. Other than that 60fps in both space and on the planet. If I remember to land the ship fully and exit now and again.

Great game by the way! :-)

Hello Rene Clausen,

As we are not officially supporting Linux and Linux based systems, I'm afraid I cannot assist you in this matter. However, I would advise you to go to our Linux chat on our Discord server: https://discord.gg/keenswh and many of our players dedicated to keep SE and SE2 working on Linux should help you resolve this.

Please note that SE and SE2 working on Linux based systems is fully community-based effort.

As such, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.

Kind Regards,

I know, I wan't looking for a fix.

I was just doing my part and leaving a bug report. Linux or not, I assume they all matter. :-)
