Foundation block: a cheap flooring solution
i've tried making bases in survival and so far it costs way too much for most blocks i've tried, gettign a simple 2x3 with some rimming cost me like 2 whole veins, WTF?!
so my suggestion is a simple foundation block, has like no armour or defensive capabilities (or very little) and isnt really suitable for space but is cheap and costs very little to put down, giving us a very effective way to lay down some foundations before doing our base properly on it.
hell you could bring back rock AS the crafting material for it, and have terrain mining yield mainly rock with 1 or 2 minerals, if foundation blocks require like only 2 rock with the average terrain mining (meaning no ore) yields 6 rock then that gives us a reason to go mining and prep the terrain properly too (this would also tie in well to another suggestion on re balancing material yields from mining normal terrain).
the foundation blocks could literally just be a bunch of rocks piled into a rough cube and then dirt packed into shape
