Small conveyor systems on small pistons become separate grids and cannot transfer items
Description:
Small conveyor systems built on top of small pistons are treated as separate grids. Items cannot be transferred through the pistons, and modules on different piston sections cannot be grouped or controlled together.
How to reproduce:
1. Build a small wheeled vehicle with a cargo container.
2. Connect at least five small conveyor tubes from the container to a conveyor junction.
3. Place a small piston on the conveyor junction.
4. On top of the piston, build three additional small conveyor tubes.
5. Add a second small piston.
6. Attach a small drill to the second piston.
7. Use the drill to mine some resources.
8. Open the Control Panel and inspect the available grids and modules.
Actual result:
The mined resources remain inside the drill and are not transferred to the vehicle’s cargo container.
The vehicle is also divided into three separate grids, with one additional grid created for each piston. Because the pistons and other modules belong to separate grids, they cannot be placed in the same group. For example, it is impossible to create a toolbar button that activates or extends all pistons together.
Expected result:
The entire construction should be treated as one controllable grid. Resources should be able to pass through the pistons into the cargo container, and modules connected through the pistons should be available in the same Control Panel so they can be grouped and controlled together.
I have the same bug
Might also add that this is using the 0.5m ports of the container together with the 0.5m conveyer tubes.
