"Destroy the Renegade Base" failed to complete then corrupted autosaves

Launched the missile, ground down the targets, wouldn't complete - ok, still in dev, not a big deal - went back and cancelled the mission and left it for a bit to do other things.
At a completely different location 40km away, faffing about and killed myself, Hit F5 for a quick recover and found myself back at the Renegade base.
Went to the game menu to try loading an older backup but all the backups were within minutes of each other, not the normal 5 between
and they all appear to be around the same state, back at the Renegade base. The timestamps match when I died but the game state is about an hour older
123951 crashed on load
123841 did not
went 40km away and did a manual save.
Autosaves seem to be back at 5mins now and reloads where I currently am
I have the same bug
