Surface ice patch not detected by hand drill

Okay, I just found this again. This ix in the mountains on the other side of the desert hills near The Barn. I flew to the snowy region and spotted a blue patch indicating ice on the surface. See the first attached video.
When I brought out the drill, ice was not detected. Copper and Silicon are showing up but not the ice.
When I drilled into the patch, it is drilling like an ice patch and not surface rock or dirt.. See second and third video. Second video shows an initial drilling into the ice. Third video shows a comparison of digging up surface ice from stone compared to the ice patch.
