Materials should be superior vs Ore when building

If the materials costed say half the amount of ore to make a steel plate for example (17KG) then the player would have incentive to make the steel plate. This subsequently would add value to the smelter and any other production device. I also wish ingots could be an option like the good old days, ingots of iron or nickel or any simple ores.
