Renegade base turrets can shoot through terrain

Just had a renegade base pop up on my GPS, so decided to go in close behind a mountain ridge that would conceal me. It blocked nothing, and my scout ship was nearly destroyed before I got out of there. No bullet tracers, just constant bullet impacts on my ship until I was almost unable to fly.
I have the same bug Access denied
