Kemik Dustspire Junction contract Destroy the Renegade Base will not complete

I have ground down the smelter, both hydrogen tanks, and every single block on the mining ship, and the mission does not complete. A possibly related odd thing I noticed is that there is a GPSActiveContract marker 69 meters directly below the smelter, inside solid rock. I tunneled to it but nothing happened, either before or after destroying the targets.
