Speed Display Does Not Return to Corner When Flight Hud Hidden in Ship

When in a grid, the speed display does not return to the bottom left corner as it is supposed to when you turn off the flight hud but not the rest of the hud. It still works in character, but not when piloting a grid. This makes it impossible to determine your speed without using the obstructive flight hud.

I have this same issue, I think I have seen the speed indicator only twice when in a ship in my 200 hours of the survival update.
I would have thought this would have been fixed in the recent update. I have tried verifying game files.
