Blueprint tutorial mission won't allow placement on platform
Submitted
The blueprint tutorial mission uses a large platform with a ship on it. When attempting to place the ship for the blueprint, there are several issues:
- The blueprint won't place on top of the platform surface
- Floating the blueprint over the platform surface refuses to generate support blocks
- The only place where the blueprint can be placed is in the dirt just off the edge of the platform, and the ship needs to be turned so it is floating partially off the edge

I have the same bug
Also the welding mission has Delete for a message. See attached screenshot.

In my game, I'm specifically getting the warning message:
> Unauthorized Action
> You don't have permission to perform this block placement operation on the target grid
@Jeff - Are you saying that placing & creating the ship in the dirt is a workaround? I'll try that out and [try to remember to] report back if successful

Confirmed!
Workaround: Build the ship under the platform and the contract will complete (You might have to use your handheld miner to dig out some dirt

I worked around this by going to blueprint, capturing the ship and the platform, and then walking away from the platform and placing the ghost blueprint without building any of it.
Side note, you can't attach anything to that ship either, and it's underbuilt, so if you fill both it's cargo containers, it will likely roll off whatever you try to land it on.

Also, had same problem. My workaround is get in the ship that’s already there and fly it in to the green box and it completes mission
