Problem with button and piston
I'm a bit confused about how buttons are supposed to work.
Here's what I did:
Creative Mode as Concordia. I tried it with a previous save and also a new game.
1. Placed a large piston on the grid.
2. Set the velocity of the piston to -1
3. Placed a button on the grid.
4. Set the action of the button to 'Reverse Velocity'
5. When I click the button, the piston moves at the set velocity (-1)
6. If I click the button again, the piston moves in the opposite direction.
So far everything is working as I expect.
7. Go into the piston settings and change the velocity to -5.
8. Activate the button again, the piston moves but only at velocity 1.
When I go into the settings, the velocity of the piston has been changed from -5 back to it's previous value.
It seems as if the button is somehow remembering what the velocity is when the action is first assigned. Even if I add a second button, that button reverses the velocity at a speed of 1 and resets the piston's velocity.
What I expected was that the piston's velocity would remain as I manually set it and that the button would only reverse it.
I have the same bug
Hello Chris Dunaway,
I could not reproduce this issue. "Reverse Velocity" correctly applies to the currently set one in the Piston.
Could you please provide a video of your issue?
Kind Regards,

Attached is a video demonstrating the issue I am seeing. I cut out some loading sequences and menu traversal to shorten the video. I performed the following from a new game.
0:00 to 1:40 I placed a Piston, control panel, and button on the grid. Set the button to Reverse the Velocity of the piston
1:40 Set the piston velocity to -1. Click the button and the piston moves at velocity 1 as expected.
2:25 Set the piston velocity to -5. Click the button and the piston moves at velocity 5 as expected.
2:42 Set the piston velocity back to -1. Click the button and the piston moves as velocity 5 instead of velocity 1
3:00 In the terminal, the piston velocity shows as -5 even though I set it earlier to -1.
3:04 Reset piston to velocity -1. Exited terminal
3:10 Re-entered terminal to confirm that piston was still at -1
3:13 Clicked the button and the piston moves at velocity 5 instead of 1
3:22 Entered terminal to show that the piston is now set to velocity 5.

It wouldn't let me attach the file. It might be too big. Here is a link to the file from storage.to:
