Buying from vendor at vallation into docked ship inventory is broken

Testing with VS 2.3:

At vallation station trade terminal, go to buy ice by dragging the ice from the store into ship inventory (840 units). I get the transaction message, and select buy. about 40 ice appears in the ship inventory (the inventory is empty so there is plenty of room) and I am not charged anything for the transaction (my credits don't go down but the station inventory does). I can repeat this until the inventory is empty of the target material. It's not every time and the amount of the material transferred is random (sometimes it's the whole stack and when that happens it's charged normally). The longer I remain docked the more stable the transaction is. Meaning, after being connected for several minutes I tried iron ore and only got a small amount (free as with ice) and the next time I tried it the whole stack I requested transferred and I was charged normally for that. Then I bought some more ice, I got the 188 that had restocked in the inventory, but again wasn't charged.

Hello Wilhelm,

I could not reproduce this issue on Game version 2.3.0.2780 - All purchases / exchanges in the Trade Terminal work correctly on my side. It may be that your download got corrupted at some point. Please verify your Game files through Steam and try again.

Let me know if this helps.

Are you going from the trade station into a docked ship inventory, just to confirm? I'm dragging the amount with the mouse into the ship inventory. Note, it doesn't happen every time, and I only tested it with ores.

Yeah, I tried to update as you describe, same issue. I think I see what might be going on.

If you grab this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3759438869 is the ship I'm using, I'm at the barn station on verdure. Dock the ship. Go inside. Vendor. Drag ice into the connector inventory (that's the primary inventory of that ship). A small amount of ice transfers (not the total amount). However the ice, though I drag it into the connector inventory, ends up in the cockpit inventory, which is 400kg. So, even though the connector inventory is empty, the transaction tries to place the purchase in the cockpit, which doesn't have room for 788 ice, (only 400), so the transaction hiccups and I only get part of the purchase. Since the ice is consumed by the o2/h2 almost instantaneously it looks like only a small part of that 400kg was purchased was actually put into inventory.

I repeated this with copper ore, dragging the purchase into the connector inventory. 1.25 copper was dragged over (easily fit in the connector inventory, which was empty), only 182 was transferred and placed in the cockpit (which still had 217 ice in it from the previous). I repeated the same step, dragging the other 1.07k copper ore into the connector and the purchase happened normally-ish. The store now has listed 0 units of copper (testing it has 0.4943563745 inits of copper ore left, which can't be purchased)

So, essentially the purchase is ignoring which ship storage I am telling it to put the purchase into and trying to put it into the cockpit, which can't hold it.
