Intro video does not play audio

Solved

Build v2.3.0.2780 Release Alpha

I started a brand-new Survival game in v2.3, and the intro video started but did not contain any audio. I hit Esc so I could skip the video and get into the game so I could report the bug.

Upon restarting the game, I was able to reproduce and record the issue.

Hello Jeff Parker,

I could not reproduce this issue on Game version 2.3.0.2780 - Intro cutscene for Survival mode is correctly audible. It may be that your download got corrupted at some point. Please verify your Game files through Steam and try again.

I actually verified the game files after I first encountered the problem. The problem was not fixed after verification, and the game never played the audio after recreating the game 4 to 5 times. I just re-verified the game after the patch, and I will test this issue again with a fresh game. I am using the Survival (not Creative, Quick Start Survival, or Classic Survival) to create and launch the game.

I have restarted the game half a dozen times (9 through 14 inclusive), either from exiting to the menu or going out to Windows and relaunching the game from scratch. The audio played with the video every time, so this appears to be resolved.

It is possible this was a driver issue as well, since NVidea just released a new graphics and audio driver today, and I installed them before launching the game today.
